Roon Remote Cannot Find the Core

I have the same problem.

Just arrived at our second home. Everything was working fine at my main home yesterday and I could use the Roon app on my Google Pixel 6 Pro and my iPad Air. Both houses have their own Roon ROCK. At the second home, those two devices both fail to connect:

But oddly, my wife’s Samsung Galaxy A12 works fine.

All 3 devices are running version 1352.

The Roon ROCK is running Roon Server Version 2.0 (build 1311) production.

In my case, the Roon ROCK at my main home is running on an Intel NUC 11 Core i5, and the Roon ROCK at my second home, where I am for this weekend, is running on an Intel NUC 10 Core i7. Both are supported.

@bananasareyellow - I’ve moved your “me too” posts into a Support request thread of their own. It is best to keep things separate, since while symptoms may be similar, underlying causes can be different and separate threads are easier to track by the Support team.

Please give full details of the setup that is giving the issue. Thank you.

BTW, what happens if you touch the “Select a different Roon Server” link shown in your screenshot?

I clicked on “Select a different Roon Server” and selected the local server and then it worked.

This is confusing because I had already done this. It’s the first thing I do when I get to my second home because I only have one licence. But then I remember using the “Restore a Backup” link before logging in. I am guessing that the backup (from my main home) must have reset the server to the main home server, so I needed to use “Select a different Roon Server” again. Could that be it?

Anyway, all is fine now.

I guess your wife and mine have something in common, something we both want. It is the exact same situation whereby two of my devices won’t connect and my wife’s device never skips a beat , sort to speak.
