Description of Issue

Whenever I go to My Library > Albums and filter on “Goldb”, Roon has problems.
On Android, Roon Remote freezes and can’t be controlled. On Windows, when I scroll the Filter results, Roon crashes (closes). This is completely repeatable.

(The filter results finds 29 albums.)

I have tried restarting the Core. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Roon client on Android. I was surprised to find the error also occurring on Windows (same core, different output device via USB).

Because once Roon freezes on Android, it opens next time in the frozen state, this means I can’t use Roon on my main system. HELP PLEASE.

Roon versions are the latest available as of this date. I always install all updates that Roon provides.

The router is a high-end ASUS device. My fallback (OpenHome) system works fine. This combination of hardware has worked fine with Roon for years. It appears to me to be a recently introduced defect.

Note added later: The Windows client also crashes when the Filter is “Goldberg” or “Uchi” but not when the Filter is “Symphony”. Haven’t tried those on the Android client (it’s frozen).

Another note: For some reason, the Android client opened OK, so I guess I can use it as long as I avoid using Filter on the Albums browser.

Just a side note, the track browser doesn’t though the album browser does, but Home shows both

Thanks. In that case, 57,927 tracks.

Hi @Mike-48,

Checking in here as some time has passed. Are you still experiencing this issue on the latest build of Roon Core and Remote? We’ll pull diagnostics and further investigate if so. Thanks!

@connor - Thanks for asking. I can confirm that at my end, the problem is gone so far. If it turns up again, I’ll advise.
