Description of Issue

Trying to use roon from a iphone I got the message Waiting for your roon Server …
I already deacrivates windows firewall and it worked. Then i activates windows firewall and proceed to define exceptions in the windows firewall in the section inbound rulles. I did this for Roon.exe. raatServer.exe roonserver.exe and Roonappliance.exe in the directories roon/application, roon/application/200001357 and in roonserver/application roonserver/application/200001357

Playing music from mi PC to the audio devices works. It is the remote connect that do not work (IOS, Android or PC)

According to the docs, it also seems to need roonbridge

Thanks Suedkiez but I could not find any file named roonbridge.exe

roon2

Hmm. I don’t have Windows but someone managed just 14 days ago:

What is your Roon version?

Hi @Jaime_Andres_Pineda

You’ll need to access your windows firewall settings to allow these exceptions.

This might assist you.
Add an exclusion to Windows Security - Microsoft Support.

Found, downloaded and installed Roonbridge. created exceptions for pretty much all the executables in multiple directories:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Roon\Application\RAATServer.exe
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\RoonServer\Application\RoonAppliance.exe
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\RoonBridge\Application\RoonBridge.exe

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\RoonServer\Application\200001357\RAATServer.exe

That was not the intent. It was about adding a firewall exception for roonbridge.exe. Glad you figured it out, but if you now have the separate Roon Bridge installed, you probably want to uninstall it again
