It’s generally considered better to have Roon perform the conversion than within the device itself.
If you were to play a 48khz track you’d see no sample rate conversation would be engaged.

Hard to see because you put the popup right over it, but looks like it’s resampling to 48 kHz, probably due to what happens after Roon with the Audio Processor and Dirac.

Yeah… 44.1, 48, 96… whichever… never have been able to tell a difference here.
You might also take a look in the device setup and zone settings to see if anything there is affecting this signal path?
No, it is correct. Roon is performing the sample rate conversion and doing so for non configurable compatibility reasons. Ostensibly, because the Storm Audio RAAT implementation is communicating back to Roon that it supports only 48 kHz and no other sample rates.
