Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· My Roon server is my Windows 11 desktop. I usually connect to Roon with and Apple IPad tablet. Recently when I open Roon on the tablet the Roon screen comes up, then disappears on the tablet. This has never happened before. (Roon opens on my desktop fine) ???

We have looked at your diagnostics and we know what is happening.

Your iPad is an iPad Air, first generation, running iOS 12.5.8. That is the last iOS version Apple released for that model. The current Roon app cannot start on iOS 12 at all: it is stopped by the operating system before any Roon code runs, which is exactly why the window appears and then closes again.

Nothing is wrong with anything you set up. Your server is healthy, your library is intact, and your Windows desktop remains a fully working Roon remote in the meantime.

This is with our product team now. There is nothing useful to change on the iPad while that is the case, so please do not delete the app: reinstalling downloads the same version and behaves the same way. We will come back to you here as soon as we have something concrete to tell you.
