After updating Roon to build 1353, Roon remote can’t connect to Roon server. That is impossible via tablet PC (Galaxy tab 7) nor smartphone (Galaxy s22+)
This. I’m having this exact problem. My 5th gen Intel NUC has worked flawlessly for five years on Windows 10 with regular Windows and Roon updates, but in the last few days this is what I’ve run into. My NUC is hardwired to my network, as is my Devialet 210 Pro endpoint. If I’m on my core I can play to the Devialet across the network, but none of my remote devices can connect to the core and I receive the exact error above despite repeated restarts of the NUC, full updating of Windows and Roon (the latter on both the core itself and my remotes), and my fully wired network is otherwise fully operational. I can’t figure it out, but I’ve changed nothing in my setup so I fear it’s the latest Roon or Windows update that caused it.
Have you managed to resolve this issue, or are you still having difficulties with the connection? Can you try to perform a full reboot of the Roon Server and see if this helps?
I couldn’t use Roon remote for over a week and it’s quite annoying situation. Haven’t you yet prepared any solution? If you can’t provide me of any solution now, please let me know how to roll back my Roon to previous version which has no problem at all.
This is a ridiculously underpowered machine to be running Roon, let alone Roon on top of Windows 10. Roon Support may not provide much, if any assistance for this hardware configuration.
I agree that my system is low performance one but I’ve felt little difficulty in runnung Roon only on my music dedicated machine. And this kind of problem is not relating to performance but to failure in communication between server and remote, your pointing to performance is irrelevant to this issue, I think.
