Roon Server Crashing

Hi @support Roon Server has been crashing randomly. I have to log into my machine and restart the server app manually. Below are some windows logs and other details:

Version: 1.4 / 294
Windows 10, 64-bit, build 16299
Endpoints: Hifiberry Digi+ , roon image , ethernet
Storage: Same windows 10 machine as roon server install

Question on the hifiberry: I installed the image about one year ago and have never updated as I assumed that it automatically updated. Is that true, or do I have to update manually? I’m not a linux person, so I wouldn’t know how to retrieve the os version.

Hey @waka_jawaka – sorry for the trouble here. Did this just start recently? Any new media added to your library recently? Any other changes to your system or environment?

I just enabled some diagnostics on your account and a report is being generated with some logs. I’ve passed this to our developers for feedback, but things will be a little slower than normal over the next few days.

In the meantime, it would be helpful to know a timestamp or two for recent crashes, so we can take a look at what was happening right before the crash.

Appreciate your patience here, thank you!

Thanks a lot Mike. The timestamp was 12/23 @ 12:46PM fo both events.

The issue seems to have come up after I upgraded to your latest major release (1.4). Other than that, nothing major changed in regards to my music, or the server.

Hope that helps.

Hi @waka_jawaka ---- Thank you for your patience while we’ve been discussing the “next steps” for addressing these random crashes being experienced.

Letting you know that I have sent you a PM with further instructions.

-Eric
