Describe the issue

I’m running the most current Roon Server on Windows 11. Just got an iPad Pro (running newest build) and if also accessing via my iPhone app (running newest build) both of their apps get disconnected. This being I get the error pertaining to the Roon server not being found and/or disconnected. I then have to restart the Roon server. This happens consistently. If I only access via only my iPhone or my iPad it then works flawlessly. It’s only when both the iPad and iPhone are accessing Roon at the same time these symptoms happen. Now. I can access Roon from two different iPhones no problem. It’s only when it is an iPad and an iPhone.

Describe your network setup

I have a 10/100/1000 gbps non-managed switch that the Windows 11 Roon Server instance plugs into. My eero access point plugs into this same switch. My iPad and iPhone are connected to my Eero wifi-6 mesh. Some mesh AP’s are wireless uplinks from the AP plugged into the switch but when in my living room (only time I use Roon) both the iPad and iPhone are on the same AP. This being the AP plugged into the switch. My network overall is healthy and quite honestly don’t have a lot of people on it. Only maybe two concurrent sessions at a time.

This might be a long shot, but when you set up your new iPad, did you restore an icloud backup that included the Roon app? Or did you load the Roon app fresh from the Apple app store?

When I bought my last iPad, I restored an icloud backup from a previous device that included Roon. I then had similar problems like you are having. Once I deleted the Roon app from my new iPad and reloaded it fresh from the Apple app store, it worked fine.

I restored from an iCloud backup that originated from my iPhone, however, it pulled down the iPad version of the app. So it’s a different version of the app, however, maybe it pulled down invalid cached app data?! Either way. I’ll uninstall now and try to replicate the symptoms. Thank you!

Hope deleting the Roon app and installing it fresh from the app store fixes your issue.:crossed_fingers: :grinning::crossed_fingers:

After uninstalling the app and reinstalling the symptoms have gone away. I’ll update again tomorrow but I think we’re good! Thank you!
