OK. I have set up the container, but when I start Roon on my computer it says:
If choose “Select a different Roon server” it says:
NO, that is not what I want. I want the server to remember my old settings and library etc.
How do I choose to use my backup?
By instructing your new Server to do just that.
There are a handful of reasons why you may need to restore your Roon database using a saved Backup. A few common reasons are: You’re moving to a new Roon Server device - Setting up a new server? Restoring a backup transfers all your playlists, tags,...
You need access to that new server first to be able to instruct it to do anything though. So, please click on Yes on the screen you showed above.
Note: You already lost access to your old server installation why you are currently going to the trouble setting up a new one using Docker. There is nothing you could make worse by clicking Yes. Please also make sure first that you stopped the previous Roon Server app from running in the App Center.

Hi @Mattias_Lindgren ,
You’ve essentially migrated your RoonServer from the QNAP bare metal installation to the container.
You’ll need to restore a Backup of the original database to the new server; this will bring back your library, saved settings, play history, etc.
Here’s an article outlining the broader migration process. In your case, you migrated to the docker:
