Roon Server firewall ports

Hi,

I have setup an Ubuntu 22.04 server running Roon Server. I’d like to enable UFW to block ports that are not required by Roon Server.

In my network environment I am using Chromecast, Airplay, Roon Remote, and Roon Arc for external access.

External access with Roon Arc is working fine, and i have port forwarding configured with port 55000…

But what are ALL the ports that Roon Server uses internally? I have seen a few posts and every single one is different. When im running “netstat” i see a bunch of random ones, but i want to be 100% sure i have all the required ports open in a firewall policy.

I might enable firewall on my Ubuntu desktop where my Roon server is installed. The instructions for Linux install mention firewall settings. But they are referred to a somewhat cryptic for me post: Can anyone please post the commands that would enable broadcast rules in Ubuntu’s firewall? I think I know how to open ports but I don’t know what to do with the broadcast/multicast rules. I think Ubuntu uses some “simple firewall” by default, not iptables.

UFW configuration for Roon

Hello, can someone help me setting up my Ubuntu UFW rules for Roon ? Can’t figure how to enable broadcast / multicast using UFW as explained in this post for iptables. Thanks
