· Can I install and run Roon Server on my Synology DS223 DSM 7.3.2-86009 Update 1.with Realtek RTD1619B SoC ? When I try to do this through the Package Centre, I get a "This platform is not supported on the platform of Synology NAS or is incompatible with the current DSM version" .

Hello @Jonathan_Cohen and welcome to the forum.

Sorry but no, you can’t. You need an intel architecture based CPU, ARM based ones are not supported.

Thanks BlackJack, much appreciated. I’ve just spent 3 hours trying to install ! It would have been helpful for whoever put up the RoonOnNAS site to add that information. Also the instructions on that site are out of date re trust options which were removed some time ago.

Also, make sure you read carefully. Some NAS use “Atom” CPUs which is by Intel as well. But Atom is not x86-64.
