And the Roon Server is located on the Mac?

If so then yes this is to be expected.

You will need to adjust your power settings or use something like Amphetamine to keep the Mac awake.

As AceRimmer noted, when Roon Server runs on a Mac, it will become unavailable whenever the Mac goes to sleep — this is expected behavior.

To keep Roon Server accessible at all times, you will need to either adjust your Energy Saver settings to prevent sleep, or use a utility like Amphetamine from the App Store to keep the Mac awake.
