My Roon server is not going out and downloading the music I have on my machines to it. It has not updated in some time and I cannot figure out why. Any help would be appreciated.
Describe your network setup
Home network. Orbi router with WiFi, Roon is hardwired straight to the network. Network has been verified by contractor and Roon is on the same network as all machines.
Thanks for writing in! We’re having a tough time understanding your current setup, as it shows your Roon license as expired, with no devices tied to your account.
You’ll need to add the proper watched folders in order to have Roon import and analyze your library. Here is more info on this:
Where does your library reside in comparison to your Roon Server machine? This article may help:
Any additional information would be helpful here - thank you!
I do not have any Roon subscription. This is for a Customer of mine, he is having the issues. I manage his network, and he asked me to look into this. His Roon account email is [redacted]
He purchased a lifetime license when he signed up. He is now having issues with his server now going out on his network and downloading the music from his devices. In the steps from you it asked about network. His network is okay, and all devices are on the same network, so it is not a network communication issue.
When emailing the above, I’d also include a screenshot of your clients Roon Settings > Audio page, and also include more specific network information, including the network chain between their Nucleus and primary router.
Set up a direct ethernet connection between the two, and temporarily bypass all other network devices to see if that helps in the meantime. Thank you!
