Can you please confirm what kind of Roon Remote (controller) you are trying to use with the Nucleus? Are you able to access the Nucleus Web UI without issue?
Hi @Bob_OBrien,
To clarify, are you seeing the “Waiting for server” message when viewing the Web UI, as opposed to getting a “This site cannot be reached” error or something similar?
Just to be sure, I normally use the iOS app to control the roon. I was getting a waiting for server message then I tried the option to find my roon server and it gets stuck looking for room server.
On the PC, I’m trying the roon app and select the find my room server and again it gets stuck looking for roon server.
I’ve tried rebooting the nucleus but no luck.
If there’s something different I need to do to use the Web UI, I’m not familiar with that so if you can provide me directions on how to use Web UI I’ll give that a try.
Hi @Bob_OBrien,
Thanks for the detailed response. The Nucleus Web UI is a different thing from the Roon app interface. This article will show you how to access it. Try the instructions there and let us know if you’re able to reach it. If you are a screenshot of it would be helpful.
Thanks for the link to the article. I followed the directions and selected configure Roon OS devices and it just gets stuck searching for Roon OS server. I’ve attached a screenshot.
Please advise if there’s something else I need to try.
If that doesn’t yield any results, the best next step would be to hook your Nucleus up to a monitor via HDMI (while still connected to your router) and share a screenshot of what you see. We’ll be monitoring for your reply!
I don’t know the IP address of the Nucleus, but I tried options 2 and 3 and and for both I get a site can’t be reached message. I then tried connecting the Nucleus to via HDMI to a monitor with the Nucleus still connected to my router and nothing displays on the monitor. I tried power cycling the Nucleus but still nothing on the monitor.
If nothing displays on the monitor, you may be experiencing a hardware-related failure on the Nucleus. The best next step here is to get in touch with our RMA department directly, as they’re in charge of all hardware-related Nucleus issues. To do so, open the Typeform link below and select ‘Other’ followed by 'This issue is related to a physical component".
