· I’m using a QNAP TS-464 NAS, for which there’s an app available to install the Roon server. It has worked properly on occasion, but often it doesn’t work, and when I open the app to see what’s going on, it simply says that the service is suspended – I think it’s referring to the app’s service, not the Roon service itself. What should I do to get the Roon server on my NAS working properly and consistently?
The Roon Server package no longer works, please switch to the official Docker image to run Roon Server on your NAS. See also:
You can use the forum search to find answers to questions that arise when switching to the Docker installation as already some time has passed since the change so most of the questions have already been asked and answered since then.
As BlackJack correctly pointed out, the legacy QNAP package is no longer supported. Please migrate to the Docker-based installation using our official guide: Installing RoonServer on QNAP with Docker.
If you run into any issues during the migration, feel free to reply here and we will help.
