Describe the issue

I have been running the ROON server on my QNAP NAS for several months but recently found that one on my SSDs was having a problem so shut the NAS down. After restarting the SSD was working fine but ROON server was stopped so ROON wasn't working. There seemed to be no simple way to restart it so I reverted to the ROON server on Windows PC which works fine. HOW DO I RESTART ROON server on my QNAP NAS MODEL TS264?

Describe your network setup

QNAP TS 264 with latest QTS OS, 2 4TB HD and 2 1TB SSDs (one used for cache acceleration and the other to house the ROON database), DECO WIFI 6 router attached to VERIZON Quantum Gateway with 1 gig FIOS service. Computer is LENOVO Yoga 9 all-in-one with 1TB SSD running Windows 11 etc.

You can restart the RoonServer application fror QTS from the App Center (choose Stop then start again). You can also restart RoonServer (and all other applications and services by restarting the NAS itself).
Please note that the Roon Server and the RoonServer app for QTS are not the same exactly. If, as in your case, the Roon Server refuses to run then it is unlikely that a restart will fix it. You may have to troubleshoot, find and fix the cause. A good starting point for troubleshooting would be to inspect the Roon Server logs.
