Roon skips local AIFF files

Hi @CoochDigsMusic,

Sorry for the delay here! We’re behind but catching up slowly. My teammate @noris swooped in for the rescue and identified a codec issue encoded with these three AIFF files.

The best remedy is to use dBpoweramp or similar to convert these files to another format. You can batch convert, so if you find a large number of files affected, upload them all at once.

Thank you again for your patience.

Thanks, these files are AIFF, not FLAC. do same thing as you suggest?

@CoochDigsMusic - Yes, please try to convert the AIFF* files (fixed the typo)

Hey Noris. Used dbpower amp and got the AIFFs converted to FLAC.
Question, the files did not convert in to Folders, they are just listed by song and artist. Is there a way to create folders and get the songs in to correct album, under the artist name? Not going to manually do it tho.
Thanks

With dbPoweramp Batch Converter You can convert and keep your folder structure.
Is it not included in your software package?

It’s just a converter configuration problem, probably the dynamic naming option. The help will guide you through it…

Dbpoweramp Coverter Help

I used the batch converter. Did not see any options to keep folders intact
I am in trial period, maybe need pay version?

Thanks, I used the batch converter. Guess I will have to try again, not sure what I did wrong tho. There were no options to keep folders intact

Thanks, I’ll have to redo, not what I wanted but I guess that’s the only way

Is this the pay version ? Doesn’t look like I can convert in to files with trial version. Could that be ?
As of now all my music in on a ssd drive, FLAC files converted from AIFF with dbpower amp batch converter. They are not in folders. How do I get these files that are on the ssd drive into folders, the way they should be?

That is very well possible.
This is how it looks with me:

Thanks. I no longer have these folders. When I converted to Flac on the sad drive I deleted the AIFF folders that were on the sad drive prior to converting. Not sure what to do now

Have you any backups that you can restore? Alternatively are your previous files/folders in the recycle bin and recoverable?

Thanks. Will check
