Describe the issue

Hi,

I need a few support questions answered. I'm new with Roon / Tidal. I implemented my Roon server streaming Tidal. I prior updated my firmware on my Denon X6700H streaming AirPlay2 from the Roon Signal Path. I read all the tech notes on your site with these current / recent updates that were lacking some months back until now.

That said, I am Connected playing Hi-Res music. Question, why do I see my SOURCE begin with FLAC 96KHZ 24bit at the end it converts down to 44.1Khz 16bit into my Denon????

TIA,

-Dino Lauricella

Because you’re using Airplay.

Hi @dlbello,

The conversion and downsampling you’re referring to is a consequence of Airplay and is outside of Roon’s control. Airplay caps the quality of the audio stream; consider it a philosophical networking bargain for convenience and ease-of-use.
