I met with the team this morning to discuss their findings. We’ve been able to track down the root cause of the issue and believe we have a way for this to get resolved for everyone.
What we’ve found is that everyone affected is using the same Linux kernel. With that Linux kernel we can reproduce this behavior, but on a newer kernel the issue does not exist.
Ultimately our update exposed an issue with this kernel specifically. Our update appears to be working correctly for the vast majority of users who are not using this kernel, and our testing has proven that to be true.
