@eric have spent a bunch of time trying to diagnose, this including significant help from @crieke (thanks!), still no luck and Roon logs still indicate its a network failure, yet everything with my MacBook Pro works perfectly on the same network and I have made all my NAS network settings vanilla. This is the error from the log…
03/25 14:41:01 Debug: [identification] <559> status: NetworkFailure
03/25 14:41:01 Warn: [identification] requeueing album that failed due to network (identifyalbum)
03/25 14:41:01 Trace: [identification] album changed out from under us. aborting identification (in _SpinQueue)
Any other ideas or options that I have to try to fix this issue or should I give up?
Hi @Gealcock ---- Than you for the update, very appreciated! Many thanks to @crieke as well for the help here.
This has certainly been a tough one to pin down and my best advice in trying to understand the cause of this behavior with the NAS is to strip the network configuration down to the bare minimum and verify if you into the same issue. I understand that the MBP is not exhibiting these issues on the same network but we must try to isolate the variable (or variables) that are influencing this behavior with your NAS.
I would like to know what the experience is like under the following conditions:
Bell Homehub 2000 (acting as a modem + router) - > 2x ethernet - > NAS and MBP
When the above is tested please make sure that the router, switch, and the “amplifi ubiquti wifi” are all temporarily offline.
Let’s start with the above in place and work our way “out”
