· I am using a TP Link Router AXE300. No switches or extenders No VPN. I have a lifetime subscription to Roon but I am stuck on a 2011 version of the Roon software and don't know how to upgrade it.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write in and share your report! Thanks for your patience as well, I’m sure you’re eager to get Roon backup and performing normally.
Based on your current account info, I see you have a ROCK running the latest version of Roon Server, as well as a mac running both Roon and Roon Server, also on the latest version, so I think you’re all set in terms of having the latest version of Roon.
When you mention you cannot get Roon to boot up, how far in the start-up sequence do you get before things fail? Do you see your ROCK available as a server?
When you attempt to login, where is it failing specifically? Are you able to access the web browser popup to fill in your credentials?
If you’re not seeing your ROCK, the first thing I would check via your Mac is your macOS firewall - be sure that Roon is listed as an exception here.
Here is more information and additional steps around ensuring Roon has proper access across your devices:
We’ll be monitoring for your reply, thank you Jeff!
Just circling back on this, I wanted to see whether you were able to narrow down where Roon is failing to boot. Have you had a chance to check if your ROCK shows up as an available server, and if the login gets as far as the browser popup for credentials? If the ROCK is still missing, please also take a look at the macOS firewall on your Mac and make sure Roon is allowed through as an exception. Let us know how this goes!
