· After a Roon update, I got a "There was an issue opening your Library" message. I went to the help section and followed the instructions to mark the current library as "old", redownloaded and installed Roon again. It came up, but could not find my audio device and did not seem to be cataloging any of the music files after I pointed it to the Music folder. I followed instructions to toggle the Privacy - Local network sections for Roon and Roon Server on and off, and restarted. When I relaunched Roon, the "there was and issue opening your Library" returned. I have the same message on my iPhone and roon is completely disabled at this point. I am running Mac OS26.5 and IOS 26.5.

Additionally, I started with Just the Roon Folder in The Library, but now there is Roon_Old (the original one), and new ones: Roon, RoonGoer, & RoonServer. While all of the new folders have today’s date, there are files in them that are older. I don’t know what this means or if it tells us anything.

Hi @Jason_Molly_Brecklin,

Thank you for your post and we’re sorry to hear you’re encountering issues.

We see some malformed image URIs choking up the library scan on startup. We’d like to escalate this to engineering so we can take a closer look and reproduce the problem internally. If you’re willing to provide a zipped/compressed copy of your database, please follow these instructions to locate the RoonServer folder, compress it, and upload it here:
https://workdrive.zohoexternal.com/collection/gnhz54df9ddffa33d49a3be8619bd6376a5de/external

We’ll follow up with next steps and any workarounds.

Thank you!

I’m happy to send it, but I’m having troubles making it happen. When I try to drag and drop the folder (using safari), your uploader doesn’t do anything. If I try to choose the files, it will not let me upload a folder, but I don’t know what specific files you need. I attempted this with Chrome and had the same result. Please advise.

It’s been sent. There is also a database in the “Roon” folder. Let me know if you need that one as well.

Hello @Jason_Molly_Brecklin

We’ve discussed this with our senior QA and development teams. The team is investigating some possibilities here and, as soon as that investigation is complete, we’ll be sure to follow up ASAP.

You have our apologies for the trouble here, and we’ve greatly appreciated your patience as we continue investigating this tricky issue. We’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
