Roon Unexpected Error Communicating With Audio Device

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

iMac running Mojave 10.14.16

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Netgear 516 NAS

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

MSB Analog DAC (built-in volume control), Renderer II, connected to network via ethernet. iPad running latest Roon App as controller for the MSB

Description Of Issue

I shut off my DAC and Server for a few days while I was away. Now, I turned everything on and the volume on the Roon app cannot be changed from 'fixed" and when I try an play an album from the NAS, the Roon app says “unexpected error communicating with audio device” and I get no sound.

Hi @Philip_Stillman,

Can you try restarting the DAC?

Are other endpoints working okay?

I tried restarting the DAC, and it finally displayed the renderer but still no sound and fixed volume. Then I rebooted my iMac running the core and it finally worked, so I have no idea what happened but at least its working again!
