I have Roon installed on my Mac mini m1 computer. Previously it recognized the Universal Audio Apollo Twin X, after the latest Roon update, it no longer recognizes the Apollo Twin X. I appreciate your instructions on how to get Roon to recognize the Apollo.
From the diagnostics, we can see that your Roon Server is currently hosted on your ROCK device. Could you please confirm where your Apollo Twin X is connected — directly to the ROCK, or to your Mac mini?
If the Apollo is connected to your Mac mini, please make sure that Roon has permission to access the local network in macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.
If Roon isn’t listed or the permission is disabled, please toggle it off and on again to retrigger the prompt, then restart your Mac before trying again.
Once you confirm these details, we’ll continue from there.
Vadim, thank you very much for your information. Indeed, the Apollo Twin X is connected to my Mac mini M1. Roon appears in the list and has network connection permissions. However, I disabled and enabled the permissions and restarted the Mac mini, and the Apollo Twin X still doesn’t appear in the list of other network devices in Roon, so I can’t activate it in the listening area. I’ll be waiting for your further instructions.
We’d like to request a set of manual Roon logs from the MacOS device in question; the machine so far hasn’t responded to our log requests, likely simply because the Roon app is closed.
Can you please use the directions found here to locate the Roon folder on your MacOS machine? Open the Roon folder and find the logs folder - please compress (zip) it and upload securely to ourFile Uploader here at your convenience.
Can you please also share the following?
A screenshot of the Settings → Audio page within Roon
A screenshot of the Audio Midi Setup utility (Applications → Utilities), showing the Twin’s I/O, etc. from the Mac’s perpsective.
We’ll watch for your response. The team is busy reproducing this issue in-house and we’ll respond with our results.
What is the MacOS version you’re using on this Mac Mini?
The Mac Mini hosting the Roon GUI is not visible to our diagnostic servers. We’d like to inspect RAATServer logs from that Roon instance in order to verify that Roon can see the Twin and has no issues with coreaudio.
Please use the directions found here to find the Logs folder in your Roon folder. Compress the Logs folder (.zip) and upload it at your convenience to ours secure File Uploader.
Please also try setting an identical input and output sample rate in the Audio Midi Setup utility for the Twin. Restart Roon or perform a device discovery cycle by pressing the refresh button in Roon Settings → Audio.
Please share a screenshot of the Settings → Audio page after performing this step. Let us know if this helps.
