Describe the issue

Please fix whatever causes your updates not to work on the latest Mac OS. You closed my previous case, without resolving the root cause. Yes, I was finally able to get Roon working again, after over an hour of trial and error, hardly a satisfactory resolution to Roon not recognizing my devices EVERY time I update Roon

Hi @Jon_Schneider,

Roon updates trigger the sensitives with MacOS Sequoia’s network security that we’re investigating in this tracking thread: Roon on MacOS 15.0+ Sequoia: Audio Zones Disappear, Requiring Local Network Access Reset or RAAT/Roon/macOS Restart [Roon Investigating]

This is a consequence of MacOS itself and the interaction between Roon and the loopback interface that connects to coreaudio as well as the rest of the local network. MacOS has to allow Roon to interact with the local network, and it sometimes inadvertently declares Roon to be a threat.

We definitely empathize with your frustration and will share updates in the thread above as soon as they’re available from development.
In the meantime, verifying that Roon has local network access in Privacy & Security or restarting RoonServer after updating are the only known workarounds.
