Have you tried clicking on “Select a different Roon Server” and then seeing if your Mac shows up in the list?

Hi @Kevin_Kopriva,

MacOS 12 is within the compatibility requirements for the most recent update.

Have you tried selecting a different Roon Server to see if your usual server instance is online?

Once connected to the server, do you have any issues with playback or browsing?

i have been afraid to click on that because it warns that i could lose all of my music

and

i was afraid that this would take me to some problem that i might not be able to reverse

user Wade also recommended this

….. is this what Innuos is recommending??

is it safe??

It’s not clear what warning you refer to, but this action is perfectly safe. It simply provides the opportunity to reconnect to your server. It will not delete anything.

thank you ….i will do this today

i am not seeing an option to connect to my roon server - i was using an innuos statement usb out to a chord dac

i was using my computer to select music and manage my library …. but the innuos statement was the server - and it is not a choice

<div data-theme-slick="1"

Are you running up-to-date software on the Innuos?

i was keeping current with updates

and

i did click to install the most recent update ….

now my innuos server does not show up as an option

my mcintosh computer shows up as the only server option …,

but i was using the mcintosh to manage my playlists and library

and i was using an innuos statement 1st gen - not nextgen as the server

Hello @Kevin_Kopriva,

I understand that seeing warnings about losing your music can be alarming, but I want to reassure you: clicking “Select a different Roon Server” is completely safe. It is simply a way to tell your Mac to look at the network and find any active Roon Servers. It does not delete your files or your database.

However, the reason your Innuos Statement isn’t showing up in that list is likely because the Roon Server software on the Innuos itself isn’t currently running or visible to the network.

What we see on our end

Our internal diagnostics show that your Innuos Statement has not checked in as an active Roon Server for about 14 days. This explains why your Mac can’t find it—from Roon’s perspective, the server is currently “offline.”

Why this is happening

Innuos manages its own operating system (innuOS) and handles the Roon implementation on their hardware. Because this is a third-party server, Roon Labs does not have direct access to its internal settings or logs to see why it stopped communicating. Due to the recent updates, the Roon Server requires new versions of the glibc and OpenSSL, which may be outdated on the Innous device.

If the Innuos dashboard shows Roon is “On” but it still won’t appear on your Mac: At this stage, you will need to contact Innuos Support directly. They are the experts on how their hardware manages the Roon software layer and can investigate why the server isn’t broadcasting itself to your network.

You can reach them here: Innuos Support

Please let us know what they find, and we’ll be here if you need help with the Roon app once the server is back online!
