Roon Core running on a 2014 Mac Mini with local library on QNAP NAS -----> Denafrips Pontus II using DAC Loop connection to H390 running as Roon endpoint . Mac Mini, Hegel & NAS all “hard wired” to ethernet switch.
Moving between albums is extrememly slow - at leset a few secons

Can you provide more information about your network setup? What router model and ISP are you currently running?
With that, can you provide more details on your ethernet switch? Is it managed vs unmanaged? As a test, can you try bypassing the switch and hardwire your core directly to your router to see if you experience the same delay?

I updated the Mac Mini OS to Monterey and ran a few updates on the NAS. the problem seems to have stopped. 
I’m wondering if it was related to the OS. Thanks for the support. I’ll let you know if the issue returns - have a great week!
