Description Of Issue

I want to control the volume with Roons Volume slider.
I have set the Roon preferences to use “Device Volume”
(I do NOT want to use DSP volume for sound quality reasons)
This is what has happened:
I first had a Hegel H190 amp w builtin DAC.
First I could use the Roon Volume slider to set the volume, but after some weeks the slider stopped working.
You can slide it, but it doesn’t lower the volume. The volume is always at max even if the slider is not.
I couldn’t get it to work again (after restarting, unplugging etc)
Then I got a new amp, Moon 340iX w builtin DAC.
EXACTLY the same happened.
I could use the Roon Volume slider to set the volume, but after some weeks the slider stopped working in the same way.
For no apparent reason.
And now I can’t get it to work again (after restarting, unplugging etc)
Really need some help here. Thanks !
