Hi Roon/Pebble enthusiasts, while the Pebble Roon Remote is useful and all, I thought I would adapt it into a watchface as well. This is available so far just on github because it’s still under heavy development, also for any of the music control gestures to work, it requires installing a patched PebbleOS that allows touchscreen to work on watchfaces. I’ve provided instructions here for those who want to do the patch yourself; however, you can just install the latest patched build as well.
If you don’t want to enable touchscreen that is fine, the music info (artist, track, play status) will still be shown on the screen; however, it may not show the zone you want to see.
Anyway, putting it out there if people are interested. The touch gestures work pretty well if I say so myself. To get into “gesture mode” you need to flick your wrist and the screen edges will glow as an indication that it will accept gestures. The gestures are the same as the Pebble Roon Remote watchapp, with one addition: if you tap in the top left corner it acts as the ‘back’ button and will exit you out of gesture mode.
Anyway, if anyone dares to install and try this out please let me know what you think. Still working on improvements and maybe an analog face as well.
