Description Of Issue

I had been happily running Roon client on my laptop docked to a ThinkPad dock, until today when I got my dual monitors and plugged the whole thing into a Targus DisplayLink USB3.0 dock. When I open Roon now I get the message “Roon could not find WGL functions required to initialize OpenGL. It is likely that the proper drivers for your display hardware are not installed. Up to date drivers should be available from the website of your computer or GPU manufacturer.”

I checked the display and dock drivers and everything’s up to date. The only thing I changed was the dock.

what model targus dock?

Universal DV4K Docking Station with USB-A/C Host Adapter (DOCK162USZ).

Now I’m getting “external component has thrown an exception.”

Got it! I had to manually update my Intel graphics driver (Windows update wasn’t doing it). Right as rain now.
