Description Of Issue

Following automatic Microsoft Update KB4601050 Roon 1.7 and now 1.8 will not start. Either get nothing after clicking Icon or get a quick show of a window with a Red X drawn from border to border. That window quickly closes. When this occurred on 1.7 the auto update was deleted and after reboot 1.7 worked as usual. Subsequently updated to 1.8 and all was fine until that same auto update occurred. Same issue. Same solution. Recreated the issue manually with updates and removal to verify issue and solution.

Hi @Bruce_Markman ,

Can you try uninstalling and reinstalling the PC’s graphics drivers? Make sure you install the drivers directly from the manufacturer and not using Windows. Thanks!

Indeed the update of the PC graphics driver at the Intel site resolved this issue. The Windows update in question was reinstalled after the Intel graphics driver update and the issue is resolved. Thanks for the quick and on point support resolution.
