ha yes, not guilty of stomping all y’all’s thread - @Carl thanks for helping clear that up!
Pretty impressive response time from support ![]()
· None of the above quite fits
· None of these quite match
· Some tracks on a Qobuz album won't play.

When I try to play Miles Davis’s *Cookin’ With The Miles Davis Quintet (Remastered 2026)*, the first track, “My Funny Valentine,” fails to play—displaying the error “a track failed to load”—and the player skips to the next track, “Blues By Five.” The album plays fine in the Qobuz app.
Is there a synchronization issue between Roon and Qobuz?
Other versions of the album on Qobuz play without any problems.
It plays OK for me. During this year’s spring, Qobuz had an issue with their CDN reorganization, leading to corrupt cached tracks being served. It took months to sort it out, and it affected different resolutions and different territories differently (different territories are served by different CDNs). It’s possible that this is a remaining affected track, and you and/or Roon would have to report it to Qobuz.
Hi ,same story overhere
Michael Jackson
Of the wall
I can,t help it.
Hi @Suedkiez, thanks for the important information. I’ve gone ahead and contacted Qobuz Japan about it as well.
Hi @Eggie_Van_Kammen, It plays correctly in my setup (Qobuz Japan).
I should add that the first party Qobuz app and third parties like Roon don’t use the same Qobuz infrastructure either (at least not necessarily), so part of the known issue was that tracks would play in the Qobuz app but not third party apps (not just Roon). Just in case Qobuz support says “works for us in the Qobuz app” ![]()
This one fails for me, too (location: Germany)
Note - the central thread for the known issue from earlier this year was this one:
Thanks for letting us know about the Qobuz track playback issue. We have enabled diagnostics for your account and will escalate your thread for review.
Hi @noris, thanks for the reply.
I understand the situation. Please continue looking into it.
I have also contacted Qobuz Japan, but I haven’t received a response yet.
Hi everyone,
To summarize, logs show this to be a familiar upstream issue affecting Roon/Qobuz users across the globe in the last few months. Akamai, the CDN serving the Qobuz API, delivers an empty data stream for certain tracks. Other versions of the same track within Qobuz might still play.
Not all tracks fail completely. Roon added various fixes, and at this point, only tracks with a true delivery failure should be affected. However, a large number of Qobuz tracks within Roon still won’t play reliably, or at all.
Qobuz is aware of the problem and is working to resolve it. Our team gathers these reports and escalates them with urgency to their engineers.
We can keep this thread open or merge it into the tracking thread at your discretion @Yoshihiro_Kikuchi. Thank you.
Hi @connor, thanks for the reply.
I understand the situation. Since having too many separate threads can lead to confusion, please consolidate everything into the tracking thread and close this one.
Interfacing issues between Roon and Qobuz persist with certain tracks.
For instance, on the album Spring Sings by Yes! Trio, track 6, ‘Sanción’, has not played in its 24/96 resolution for over a week. Both the 16/44 version and the same 24/96 stream play fine directly from the Qobuz app.
I am not sure who to report this kind of issue to so that it can be resolved.
