RoonBridge installation issues on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS (ref#7JERWU)

Describe the issue

new install of Ubuntu 24.04.2LTS on older dell I5 processor. Trying to install RoonBridge. Instructions of easy setup not working. (not a strong Linux user) are there more detailed instructions.

Describe your network setup

Netgear router, netgear 24port unmanaged switch. Roon server and Ubuntu remote on same switch

I am assuming you are using Ubuntu desktop. If not, please let me know.

First, go to the download page while uaing the Ubuntu PC.

Installing Roon on Linux

Left-click on the Roon Bridge (x64) link, and select Save as roonbridge-installer-linuxx64.sh in your Downloads folder.

Next, open the terminal (<ctrl><alt>T), and type the following.

cd ~/Downloads
chmod +x roonbridge-installer-linuxx64.sh
sudo roonbridge-installer-linuxx64.sh

If this doesn’t work for you please post the output from the terminal.
