Same Problem on a Mac mini Core i7 (2018).
In activity monitor I can see two processes “Roon Server”. One or the other disappears sporadicly and in a moment later reappears with a different PID. There is no Roon icon in the menu bar / task bar.
I tried to quit the processes but they reappear within a few seconds. Restart makes no difference.
To get proper attention for your specific issue, please open a new topic of your own in the Support category (go to Support and click the New Topic button top right) and fill in the details in the template that you will see.
Symptoms may be similar but causes different, so Roon support prefers a separate topic per issue to avoid confusion.
The Problem is the same: “After the last upgrade I don’t see Roon on Remote” .
Obviously the solution to the problem is different
So far vinyl seems to be the only solution
Did you try the solution I suggested?
Yes of course but it didn’t help. I suspect Roon Server is trying to start but something is preventing it from working. I reinstalled Roon. Not Roon Server as I couldn’t find a download for it. I suspect there is no Roon server anymore. So I installed the GUI version of Roon. This works but a GUI on a headless server is as useful as a swimming ring in the desert.
@Roon: Sorry, but your naming of the individual products is a pain in the ass. Where has the server gone? Core, Bridge, Nowhere?
Nonetheless, many thanks for your support

So it is working now after this?
The GUI and server are now one package. You can still start just the server and not the GUI.
See the release notes:
Hi @Karl_Worm,
Apologies for the delay in getting to your issue. If possible, could you share a status update?
Are you still experiencing issues? Let me know more specific details and step by steps if so.
Thanks!
Dear Benjamin,
Thank you for your inquiry. After I reinstalled Ronn on the server everything is running smoothly again. Good to know that the “Roon package version” also runs without a GUI. Thanks for this information. I didn’t notice that before.
