I have two RPi4s running Ropieee (currently 2026.05 (3719) ). One is on 24/7 (used for a Zone display/clock) and has no problems.
The other RPi4 is used as a Roon Bridge with a USB connection to my Quad Atera pre-amp. This RPi4 (and the Quad system) is turned off every night between midnight and 8am.
It has been working well for years, but in the last week, I noticed that the Quad Zone had disappeared from Roon - it turned out that Ropieee had apparently crashed.
Reapplying power would boot up Ropieee, but it seems to crash again after a time. This may be a hardware issue, but I’ve sent feedback just in case that shows anything. The feedback was generated shortly after a reboot - should I take another feedback after a few hours (if the RPi4 stays up that long)?
One other thing that may be relevant - the RPi4, Quad and a 5-port switch are all connected to the same mains point - it is this that gets switched off at midnight and turned back on at 8am.
For what it’s worth one of my units (the pi3) also disappeared after a week or so on a recent beta. But I didn’t mention it and it hasn’t happened again.
Interesting, I had the same problem yesterday. Ropieee crashed suddently and I had to reboot it. I am using the latest stable release and I had no problem during past days…
Here’s feedback taken at 13:40 today (RPi4 would have been switched on at 8am).

I noticed that yesterday, when I checked the endpoint, it had crashed, but I don’t know when that had happened - it could have been that it did not boot up at 8am?
These past few days, the RPi4 has been behaving itself - no crashing, so I think we can relax. Dunno what was going on there, hopefully the gremlin is back in its box.
