I have a question: I mainly use Ropieee in conjunction with a Bluetooth transmitter for two earphones. Both earphones have remote control functions (Play/Pause, Next, Prev, Volume).
Two services are configured: Roon for earphone number one and Squeezelite for earphone number two. Both use the same Bluetooth transmitter. So far, however, I’ve only been able to assign the remote control for Roon to one service. Will this change in future?
Background: I use two different earphones because I listen to music through one earphone and audiobooks through the other; however, the audiobooks are played (via Squeezelite) in a zone that I’ve reserved exclusively for audiobooks. This is managed via my software:
I probably didn’t explain everything properly:
The RoPieee Squezzelite service is used by Roon and is connected to a Roon audio zone. I set this up this way to separate audiobook playback from music playback when using my earphones, as I use different Roon audio zones for each.
What I need is a Roon remote control with RoPieee, that can also be configured via the service being used (Roon or Squezzelite) and not just via the Roon audio zone.
Right now this is not supported, and also not on the radar. That can change of course, but right now I’ve got a loooong list with other stuff that I want to do.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
I’ve created a workaround using my app. I can now control both Roon audio zones remotely via RoPieee from both services and with both pairs of headphones.
