Hi folks. I’m continuing a comment in this thread because I’m observing the same issue with my Matrix Audio X-SPDIF 2 which is a RoonReady device. With it, the volume control for Shairport-sync is software based and it’s very low. I’m trying to look for a way to work around this issue but it looks like my DAC might need to be whitelisted by Ropieee itself. I provided my machine details in feedback 53b5d126953a82c5
What would be the best way to move forward? Does the beta software version have support for my DAC at all? Would appreciate some help and guidance to get this working.
