Hi All, Thanks IP for continuing after I had to leave. And, it was a great discussion, sad I had to leave; but, I did host a great party (at least that is what the texts this morning told me ) with multiple Roon zones blasting music throughout the house and yard.

Tidal new Flac tier in Beta. Some looking forward to it, some moved on. Those using MQA worried about how long they would be available. Some discussion on how this will work in Roon, my guess is that the high resolution tracks will be treated as new since they were never in Tidal. As for existing MQA 44.1 where there is also now a Flac 44.1?
Wiim Pro firmware officially shipping as of 6/30. IP has not received it yet but will let us know how it works out. He did says that because of the hardware the Wiim Pro uses it causes PSAudio Stellar Strata to lockup and not work if the network connection is used.
Both @Ernesto_Del_Aguila and @Sloop_John_B also got the Zero:RED IEMs and have had positive reviews. User Chat Group verdict is a thumbs up; pretty unbeatable for the price. All preferred the tips with the larger hole for better bass resolution.

Rugby and @Ernesto_Del_Aguila had a quick review of the Cure concert. I thought it was the tour of the year, and freaking amazing. If you at all like the Cure, you owe it to yourself to see this tour. It was great to meet other Chat members face to face!

I did a WiiM Pro unboxing. The difference between the 2022 and 2023 box is:
2023 box slightly taller
Spacer box in 2023 is slightly taller which still allows WiiM to sit flush at top of box when opening
Supplied cables are no longer in their own bags and are coiled round instead of oval. They use an extra tie-wrap in this configuration.
Otherwise, all the markings on the device are the same.
Initial listen on the big stereo in the Media room, via Coax Roon Ready, is “good”. A little harsher. A little less “hifi”. More digital which takes you away from pretending to be live. However, plenty competent for what it is. I’m not sure its any different than my Allo streamer and could come down to USB vs. Coax. If I get the motivation maybe I’ll do a coax shootout between DigiOne Sig to the WiiM Pro. Although, I’d rather listen to music than electronics right now. Good seeing everyone today!
EDIT: hi-hats let me down. They really start to smear with this setup.
