As discussed yesterday, I will be at CapitalAudiofest so a few of us will meet there in-person again. Probably not a meet that Saturday as the show is pretty packed and the chance of us getting a room to film is very slim. @Rugby may open a meet for us to pop-in and give a quick hello from the show though. I’m sure we’ll talk more about it during this coming Saturday’s meet.
If you’ll be at CAF let us know here and we’ll try to meet as many Roon users in person. Good times all around.
I’ll be at the Capital Audiofest on either 11/15 or 11/16, not certain which day yet. I may be joined by a young (and new) music fan and this will be his first show if he joins me. I’d love to meet depending on the date and time, and would like to get more involved in the weekly chats (is it Saturdays??).
Reminder Next Week I’ll be at the Capitol Audio Fest. In previous years, we did the chat from the Show, not sure we will be able to this year.
The chats revolve around Roon, other hardware/software audio topics, or just music. If you are having an issue with Roon, or, hardware or network setups, let us know and we will try and help!
Please keep in mind, everyone here is a fellow user like yourself; so this is NOT an official Roon chat.
A remix of a Porridge Radio song, Born Confused (Grove Remix) from Every Bad (Expanded Edition), ended up on a playlist while listening to some EDM or something that fits that genre. Of course, I found the original… What a contrast of meanings and I kept flipping back and forth between the original and the remix. Eventually went through the entire Porridge Radio catalog…
… and that’s when Roon started including Just Mustard into my mixes and there you go. I keep coming back to Heart Under because… to me at least… It still feels “fresh” every time I listen to it. There is enough texture and grit in there… with that haunting voice… You can change the order of the songs and get a different feeling from it.
Anywho… If you’re digging Just Mustard give a listen to Porridge Radio. Maybe it’s because I discovered them at the same time? But they end-up on my car radio a lot.
I assume you guys are attending Capitol Audio Show this week? Let me know if I should log in, otherwise I’ll have a lovely Sunday morning sleep in (before Church of course).
Speaking of new gear. I ordered these to passive biamp Genevieve’s Aurum Cantus Melody speakers. These will drive the ribbon tweeter and the existing Class D monoblocks will drive the woofers. Crossover at 2200 kHz. Sub for <80 Hz.
