S.M.S.L. Sanskrit 10th MK II AK4493-based USB DAC won't work with Roon via RoPieee

Hi @spockfish,

I connected my newly purchased S.M.S.L Sanskrit 10th Mk II to my Ropieee (2022.05.1 (297); Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Rev 1.3), but it is not working.

Is this DAC added to the list in the new Linux?
On my Ropieee is also a “HifiBerry DAC=+DAC+ Pro/amp2” installed, and that one is working correctly. I thought that both an Audio Hat and a USB-Out should work simultaneously.

Hi @spockfish,

I found the issue. Apparently I had to add the Sanskrit in Roon as a new audio-device.
I was convinced that Roon saw the Raspberry Pi as one unit, and did not take the Hat or DAC as separated output zones.
The mystery is solved and everything is working correctly now.
