If you navigate to Roon Settings → Audio, what do you see listed there? According to our internal documentation, this device appears to be Roon Tested for Airplay/Chromecast, so it should show up as an Airplay/Chromecast zone there.
Please note that Roon Tested and Roon Ready are two different certification types, Roon Ready devices would use our RAAT protocol directly, while Roon Tested can include other protocols. If you are not seeing the soundbar under Roon Tested in Settings → Audio, please provide a screenshot of this, thanks!
While our team looks into this further, can you also test out setting up a direct hardwire ethernet connection from the S-Series device to your router and see if the same issue occurs? It may be worth rebooting your router as well.
Thank you!
Edit: I see that you mention the HW-S61D, our records indicate only the HW-S60D is Roon Tested. Seeing this device elsewhere is, unfortunately expected behavior, as the devices do appear to be different.
Thanks for confirming the model difference information. The device string is still different, so it would not identify as the exact device that was Roon tested.
Looking over your earlier screenshot, it looks like the device is showing up and enabled as expected. The only difference here is that it is not in the Roon Tested section of the audio page.
We’ll forward your report over to our hardware team for consideration, but since everything else is working as expected as far as we can tell, the report is more-so a feature request to see if we can get it Roon Tested or apply the same designation as the certified HW-S60D.
I spoke to hardware team and they have added this device to our database since it does seem that the color is the only difference. If you try to reboot your server a few times, do you see the device transition to the Roon Tested side? Thanks!
