Description Of Issue

Bonjour

English would be better on this forum…but yes, Tidal is also causing problems for me in France with a fiber connection to a Livebox 4. 946 mbps into the streamer by ethernet is apparently not enough to stream HiFi or Premium level. Tidal is of no help and it would be impossible to explain this to the Orange customer service agents as they are totally lost anyway. I’ve seen on Orange forums that other users are having the same problems. I have not identified a solution at this stage.

TIDAL Streaming Hash for a few days

Hello

I have been experiencing jerks for some time on Tidal Hifi, for reading tracks in 16-44 see Master and some is the device connected to the network

I am using a Lumin D1 network reader which receives the TIDAL Fux by the Roon application on a Pc Core i7 under Windows 10 enterprise 18.09

The reading is jerky whether it is from

The lumin application controlled by the iPad air 2

The Roon application also managed by the iPad air 2

I also tried on the main PC where Roon is installed and directly on the TIDAL application and it is the same with Ethernet and WIFI.

I did a VDSL bitrate test, I’m at 40 Mega

I reset the apps, uninstall and reinstall, nothing to do

Even reset my live box

By cons on my smartphone in 4 G no problem, it works

Normally

Thank you for your reply

I’ve moved to #support thread.

I have the same problem.
My configuration is the following: streamer SOTM SMS 200 ultra Neo connected using USB to my dac Bel Canto 2.5 - router Netgear Nighthawk - Nuc intel to support Roon (with Rock). NAS Synology 218 play. IPHONE 11 as remote control.

I always go through Roon to listen to my music (Naas and Tidal) . For some days Roon and Naas are running perfectly. No way using Roon and Tidal : each time I play a piece of music the sound is chopped and after 10 seconds or more it goes to the next piece of music… with a message explaining Tidal is to slow and it is probably due to a network problem. I have checked with
my provider (Orange) my internet connection : all is ok and i am able to reach 11 megabits using adsl without disconnection.

I have tried to use Tidal outside with 4g : it seems to be normal. But on my home network Tidal running alone on Iphone has the same problem. Same problem using Tidal through Mconnect . It is worse with Roon. What can I do ? Thanks in advance for your help. Stephane

I believe the problem is with Orange and the Livebox. It will be nearly impossible to get Orange and Tidal to coordinate a corrective action. On the Orange forums the problem has been documented and there’s been no solution identified for the moment. I’m sending 946 mbps into my streamers and apparently that’s not sufficient…

bonsoir

PC roon → live box →switch silent angel → streamer Lumin D1

Pc Roon → Live Box → Streamer Lumin D1

Hello @Jean-Luc_Descout/@anon20693046,

We have seen users have a better experience in the past if they change their DNS servers from the ISP provided ones to Cloudflare DNS or Quad9. Can you please check to see if you are able to change your router’s DNS and let me know if it helps?

Salut @Jean-Luc_Descout/@anon20693046,

Nope. The problem is between Orange and Tidal.

same for me today with Orange fiber… no answer from tidal.
No issue with Qobuz.
