Additional information is that I’m able to save individual tracks from Tidal menu within Roon. Can’t save albums that way.
From the search view in Roon I can’t save anything.
As a matter of fact and I don’t know if there’s any relevance but since a week ago long after the initial problem started I have the same problem in Tidal regardless of IOS, desktop player or web player. I can save individual tracks and playlists but no albums
I am bit below (9800) the limit on saved albums (10K) on Tidal. I have tried to delete albums and playlists to distance more from the limit.
The most likely cause is that Tidal’s servers are removing the most recently added full-album objects from the library as you approach their album limit, especially if this problem reproduces outside of Roon.
Logs from Roon Server show Tidal’s servers instructing Roon to delete content that was just recently added to Roon’s cached Tidal library; this matches what you’re describing. Individual tracks aren’t being deleted, but entire albums at a time.
Tidal’s enforcement of their library limit is a liminal space and our team unfortunately doesn’t have any jurisdiction here. It’s worth noting that they consider all objects, including albums, artists, and individual tracks, towards the 10,000 limit.
If you remove a significant component of your Tidal library (like 200 albums or more) from the Tidal app directly and then restart RoonServer, does that have any effect?
