Scheduled Backup to NAS fails: error retrieving the backup list (Invalid Root)

Innuos Zenith Mk3 with storage on Synology D220+

Have previously used auto-backup successfully. Last successful backup 6 days ago. Now get error message from Backup Manager: There was an error retrieving the backup listing (Invalid Root). Please check the backup folder and try again." “Find backups” shows \synology\Roon\RoodBackups but selection of that folder returns the same error message. “Backup Now” fails with message: Backup directory not available. Have re-started all hardware with same results. Help!

Has your DS recently updated?

I’m sorry, I don’t know what the abbreviation DS means. However, my solution–which appears to be working–was to use Roon to create a whole new Back-Up folder on the Synology. I have since deleted the old Back-Up folder. Thank you for trying to help me. I appreciate it.

Ah, sorry DS is an abbreviation for Disk Station.
