Search results don't appear as I type like they did before build 1462

I’m running Roon 2.0 build 1462 on the core, android app, and iPhone app.
As recently as build 1442 roon showed search results automatically while I typed a search query and before I hit enter. Now, no search results appear until I hit enter. Strangely, after I hit enter to generate initial search results and I begin typing a new search query, I get search results automatically on the new partial query as I type it. Is this how search is supposed to work now? If so, I humbly extend two thumbs down.

a friend of mine who uses a huawei mediapad t3 10 tablet can’t connect to the roon core, I with the same tablet yes, I can connect (the roon version that indicates is 1413 and not 1426 that I have on the core) but it works and on board there is android 7
the question is the following …
is there a recommended android version for managing roon?
