Describe your network setup

Fiber Broadband.

Hi, I’m logged into TIDAL and can see content and playlists. When I try roon search it can find some items but for a lot of searches it just says “No results found” after I type in search and click enter!
A.

I have seen this before, but I just did the search (in the UK) and all good here.

I’ve been having that issue the last few days as well - something new, as search usually works pretty consistently. The last few days I’ve tried searching for a few artists (Sting and Sheryl Crow; Sting and Giordana Angi, David Friedman) with the same “no results found”. But when I go directly to Qobuz or Tidal, those particular items are there. If I favorite them, then sync the Roon library, they appear. This hiccup is new. I’m on a 2012 MacMini i7 still running 1.8 . This happened occasionally with obscure artists, but never with main stream pop folks like Sting. ??

It usually appears when some of the Roon back end server’s are not functioning well. Search no longer runs just on your Room Server. This is often a regional issue and gets back to normality when Room staff get the server’s working again.

Hi @akeaveney,

Thank you for your post.

Our diagnostic servers indicate that you’re running Roon build 1105 on the legacy Roon 1.8 track.

Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee the evergreen functionality of online backend services like search with such an outdated build.

Please try reassigning the DNS server in your router, if you haven’t already, and verifying that RoonServer is excepted in any stateful firewalls. Long-term, you’ll need to update to Roon 2.0 to guarantee search functions as expected.
