Description Of Issue
Roon has been up and running successfully for some time. Today when it opened it asked to Choose your Roon Core. Have powered off MacBook, Diskstation, Modem with no success. Also turned off and on the Roon Server.
On the Roon opening screen, it says the Diskstation is ready so I click on “Configure Roon OS device on your network”. That screen stays searching but cannot find it.
When I click go back to the Diskstation screen and press “Connect” it asks for my login details and then says to go back as I already have 1 core.
Have made no recent changes to the setup so not sure what the problem is.
I am experiencing the same issue, with a Synology DS1618+.
Yesterday evening I have updated the Synology DSM Software to DSM 6.2.4-25556, did not try to connect to Roon since then. As I tried to connect now for the first time after the DSM update, this is not possible.
@Paul_Johnston, you state that you did not make recent changes - could it be that your Synology device automatically installed this DSM version most recently? If so, was the connection to Roon possible until before the DSM update?
Thank you in advance for a short feedback - with the upcoming weekend and no Roon available, it would be amazing if this situation could quickly be resolved.
Hi Thore
You are correct. There was an auto update from Synology the day before Roon stopped working. Latest version running is DSM 6.2.4-25556. Not sure how to proceed from here.
