The App is supposed to remember its previous state (so that you don’t notice that’s newly started, rather than merely brought to the foreground). But that can be (and sometimes is) glitchy. Presumably, that’s the source of the problem here …

I can only speak for myself as a Roon customer. I just now opened the Roon control app on my Dell laptop, iPhone, and iPad. They are all three where I left them. Dell is sorted by Most played, iPhone is sorted by Date added, and iPad is sorted by artist. I use a Nucleus that runs 24/7 if that makes any difference.

interestingly enough…

on my iPhone, where it’s never remembered my preference of sort-by-date-added and always reverts back to sort-by-artist, IT REMEMBERED MY PREFERENCE FROM YESTERDAY.
