Hi @mlittle110,
Sorry for any confusion here, were you able to test playing audio to a different endpoint, per my question above?
That said, we were able to review a fresh diagnostic report and can see you’re experiencing a known playback issue, specifically with Qobuz content. Here is the tracking thread associated with this issue:
That said, I did see a failed playback attempt from one of the timestamps you’ve shared above - surrounding Tidal content. The culprit is a clock sync failure between Roon and your FiiO SR11. Here’s what the log shows happening in sequence:
What failed and why:
- Missing block 0 — Playback started but the very first audio data block wasn't ready, so the stream was interrupted and a new request was created. This is a minor hiccup but signals the stream was already fragile.
- Clock sync failure (the fatal error) — Roon's RAAT protocol tried to synchronize its sender clock with the FiiO SR11 endpoint and failed entirely:
failed to sync sender clock to endpoint FiiO SR11
failed to sync clocks with any endpoints..giving up
Without a synchronized clock, RAAT can't maintain gapless, bit-perfect playback, so Roon immediately tears down all streams and stops the track.
Some next steps in troubleshooting to try:
- Unplug and replug the FiiO SR11, then restart the Roon zone
- Swap the USB cable
- Update FiiO SR11 firmware and Roon to latest versions
- In Roon's device settings for the FiiO, try toggling Resync Delay or increasing the buffer size
- If on Windows, reinstall the FiiO USB audio driver
FirstBlockRetrieved), so this is purely a local USB/clock handshake problem between Roon and the DAC.
