I don’t play Christmas music. Having Mariah Carey or Wham on the radio is torture enough.

None here apart from this on repeat when we get around to putting the tree up:-

Plenty of neat Christmas metal and rock songs to keep me going though without getting too schmaltzy :sunglasses:

I probably have about 100 Christmas CDs. One of my favorites that may be a bit obscure. Brave Combo, “It’s Christmas Man!”. Brave Combo is still around, but started in late 1970s or early 1980s. Basically a indie, punk rock polka band from Denton Texas. Used to see them live a lot in mid 1980s. Fantastic high energy shows.

One of my favorite Christmas songs. “Blue Xmas” by Miles Davis. Vocals by Bob Dorough. That was my introduction to him and led me to hunting down more info on Bob years ago, discovering his fantastic catalog and I became a big fan. I got to see him in a small jazz club in NYC in 1995 (him and his bass player) and he was amazing. He sat at my table during the entire set break chatting because we were reminiscing about Texas, where we both grew up. Super nice guy.

People perhaps usually best known for (more or less) jazz, just saxophone and organ, brilliantly recorded by Kirkelig kulturverksted:
